As a visual artist I intentionally make traveling a part of my practice, I am drawn to the
experience and records derived from unaccompanied travels. By means of painting,
photography and writing, the motive to create work is to recognize my own insignificance and
reconcile with the overwhelming feelings. The body of work acknowledges the subject of longing
and the subsequent disappointment. It draws from conceptual and painterly traditions, reflecting
on private relationships such as visits made to people dead or alive.
