Spontaneous generation is a scientific theory which posited that life could generate from non-living matter, like a maggot from meat, or a frog from mud. This notion has been challenged and disproven, but only biologically. The interior life of an object is an entirely different thing. In this makeshift winter, those of us in isolation have begun to insulate our caves, tend to our stuff. As there are more empty rooms with empty corners, more dust comes, more dust gives birth to dust- bunnies. Are they having a party? Is it so that our toys come alive when we’re not looking? What do they think of us?
