I guess we weren't born to be attached to a screen. Indulging ourselves in nature, feeling the sun on our faces, spending our time with loved ones -- that's what should be important to us, right?
But I can't help it. As I bring myself outside, my mind remains forever glued to the screen. It always will. I can't escape it, but I don't want to. I long to grip desperately on to my mouse and indulge in the online realm where I belong. I don't want the sun to radiate on my face; I yearn helplessly for my computer's illumination on to my eyes. My loved ones live nowhere but here.
Maybe I should go offline.
