My partner and I drove an old 1994 Honda Accord, until it crashed into another car on the off ramp to the 101, six months ago. The hood was peeled back and the engine has been damaged beyond reasonable repair. It has been in our backyard since, gathering dust and vegetation. A small forest of weeds has grown up around it, half-hidden it feels like it’s own creature.

I enjoy my work in spaces that serve as recognizable quarters, I enjoy the effect an object can have on a space, and how a body affects said space in relation to this object. Producing work for this time-capsule from 1994 was something that has been on my mind for a few months, and with the loss and cancellation of other projects I am glad that I have had the chance to explore this.
