after using my phone to visit a few spots on the outskirts of Nuremberg, where I have never been, a story unfolds. before choosing this path, i set my desk on fire :p

This decentralized exhib is the outcome of a two-day lecture and workshop presentation by Ian Bruner of Rhizome Parking Garage and halo of Underground Flower at the Academy of Fine Arts, Nuremberg. Invited by Helen Hetzel, the lecture explored ideas, tactics and strategies surrounding expanded creative practise, guerilla tactics, and pararealist aesthetics as well as our personal and collaborative practises. Participants (in Nuremberg + worldwide) created a quick and dirty group show - working for the space of a 45-minute break, in our own homes / studios with materials on-hand, and re-convened to share about the process. Found images and personal mythologies were admixed with relations between artwork and space. You can read the full lecture notes here
