The Neo-Folk-Lore exhibition invokes the core childhood experience characterized by the imaginative, unrealistic yet familiar twists and protagonists of folktales. These stories, once spread by word of mouth, are imbued with ancient symbols that can be interpreted regardless of cultures and ages, and have survived due to their constant change. By the creative process of fabrication, physical distance is destroyed and signs lead through learning and spiritual cognition to the collective consciousness, the source of the tales. The question is how we can find our way back to these archaic elements and how the concept of folk tradition can be shaped with the experiences we have gained since then. The exhibiting artists propose a new definition independent of party politics, which enables the shaping of a flexible and personal national identity.

A kiallitás abból az alapélményből indul ki, amelyet gyermekkorban a népmesék fantáziadús, valószerűtlen, mégis ismerős fordulatai és karakterei jellemeznek. Ezek a valaha szájhagyomány útján terjedő történetek ősi szimbólumokkal vannak átitatva, amelyek kultúráktól és koroktól függetlenül értelmezhetők, és éppen a folyamatos változásnak köszönhetően maradtak ránk. A fabuláció kreatív folyamatai során megsemmisül a fizikai távolság, a jelek a tanulás és spirituális megismerés útján vezetnek a kollektív tudathoz, a történetek forrásához. A kérdés az, hogyan találhatunk vissza ezekhez az archaikus elemekhez és hogyan alakítható a néphagyomány fogalma az azóta szerzett tapasztalatainkkal. A kiállító művészek egy új, pártpolitikai meghatározásoktól független definíciót mutatnak meg, amely lehetővé teszi a rugalmas és személyes nemzeti identitásképzést.
